Stowed Safely, to Shooting Freely
Go from having your camera securely cinched up, for easy mobility — to slung low, for unhindered portrait and landscape shooting — just by pulling the F1’s adjustment tab.
Instead of tacking-on over-engineered hardware, it’s made from the same strong, flexible, lightweight fabric as the strap — plus a simple yet secure sliplok that won’t budge under load, no matter how heavy your camera.
One Strap That’s Up for Anything
To be clear, the F1 functions beautifully as a neck strap, but it’s much more versatile than that.
Quickly lengthen the F1 to use as a cross-body/sling strap, or loop the webbing through the D-rings to make a wrist strap — all without carrying (or remembering to carry) extra stuff.
We’ve heard tales of photographers literally tying their F1’s onto things, and attaching the D-rings or adjustment tab to carabiners for peace-of-mind. Use your imagination — F1 can take it!
Light, Strong & Built Tough in USA
A lot of camera straps are stuck in the past … unnecessarily bulky, made from traditional low-tech materials and metal hardware.
We take a different approach, using materials found in modern expedition gear, where strength-to-weight ratio is critical, and exposure to the elements is a given.
If you’re looking for a faux-heirloom made of leather and steel, you’ll have to look elsewhere — because we won’t make camera straps that rust, rot or crack after a downpour (especially for today’s weather-sealed cameras).
Sleek Where it Matters Most
Not all cameras are the same, so we’ve got two optimized mounting options, reducing bulk around the hand when possible.
For cameras that require a “traditional” flat mount, we use hardware developed by aerospace engineers, for cameras being sent to … you guessed it … space. And to tidy up the loose ends, we developed a streamlined installation method.
The barely-there lug mount version (shown here) comes with our proprietary Standard Split Rings, made from a steel and magnesium alloy that’s 25% stronger than stainless steel. It’s almost like holding a naked camera — but much more secure.

Nice strap but putting the rings on the lug mount was a pain. The pain was made worse when I mistakenly put one on backward. I like the older Simplr straps with the plastic interconnect system. That system may have reliability issues? But far easier and more convenient.

I was using a Peak Design Leash, which works great for my X70, but it just didn’t feel right with the more substantial GFX100RF. In my search for a better option, I stumbled on Simplr which was just a bit more robust but still had the thin strap at the anchors. After using this for a couple weeks, I can saw this was a goldilocks fit for this camera.

An awesome yet simple strap. I needed something that could go from around the neck to cross-body quickly as I often go out with my binos and camera at the same time and this strap does exactly that. It’s strong and sturdy yet doesn’t weight much which is a big plus as I take my binos with me while hiking.

Using this on my x-t50 and love the simplicity but also the versatility of the strap. Never thought that I’d stop using my peak design straps, but especially on a smaller camera this is exactly what I needed to make the switch. The ONLY thing that would take it to the next level is metal hardware instead of the black plastic.

The strap is comfortable and well made, though I wish it were wider. The strap that came with my Zf is of course not very good, but its widest part is wider than the F1 strap. Carrying the Zf (with the 40mm lens it came with) around my neck leads to pain relatively quickly which is disappointing, though carrying it sling-style is much more comfortable. I have some concerns about using this strap with heavier lenses but don’t yet have any to experiment with. So I just wish the strap were wider, but am otherwise quite satisfied.

Super happy with the strap so far! Very reasonably priced for the high quality product you receive. The adjustment system is perfect for switching between carry modes. I’m shocked this isn’t being done by every other strap manufacturer!

I find the Simplr strap comfortable in a cross body configuration even with my heaviest lens (an Olympus 300mm f/4). Whether I’m using the strap or just have my camera in hand, the strap doesn’t get in the way of any of the camera controls. Glad I found this brand and I have since ordered a second strap for another camera I own.

Got the F1 strap and it’s just an overall fantastic camera strap. I’m using it on my Fujifilm x100vi. I also got the lug bumpers, but honestly I don’t think the lug bumpers are necessary. Love how it’s just a minimal, great-looking, and super sturdy and strong strap. Just what I was looking for.

I’m not a big fan of overly-branded camera maker straps so this was a great solution. Strap is a nylon material that is both soft and pliable without needing cushion straps or different materials. It’s simple, out the way, and just what I wanted. Great price and really fast shipping was a plus.

Just received and not used in the wild yet, I’m initially blown away by how comfortable and clean-lined the strap is. I am looking skeptically at the buckles, hoping they hold up to use. What kind of plastic are they made of? The ease of adjustment is great, with that pull-tab making it easy to go from neck to cross-body.

Glad you’re enjoying your F1, Sharon! The sliplok and D-rings are an acetal/delrin plastic — exactly the same as used by the US Military. There are thousands of F1’s out in the field for years, and to date, there’s NEVER been a failure. It’s truly “expedition grade”.
