Instead of tacking-on over-engineered hardware, it’s made from the same strong, flexible, lightweight fabric as the strap — plus a simple yet secure sliplok that won’t budge under load, no matter how heavy your camera.
One Strap That’s Up for Anything
To be clear, the F1 functions beautifully as a neck strap, but it’s much more versatile than that.
Quickly lengthen the F1 to use as a cross-body/sling strap, or loop the webbing through the D-rings to make a wrist strap — all without carrying (or remembering to carry) extra stuff.
We’ve heard tales of photographers literally tying their F1’s onto things, and attaching the D-rings or adjustment tab to carabiners for peace-of-mind. Use your imagination — F1 can take it!
Light, Strong & Built Tough in USA
A lot of camera straps are stuck in the past … unnecessarily bulky, made from traditional low-tech materials and metal hardware.
We take a different approach, using materials found in modern expedition gear, where strength-to-weight ratio is critical, and exposure to the elements is a given.
If you’re looking for a faux-heirloom made of leather and steel, you’ll have to look elsewhere — because we won’t make camera straps that rust, rot or crack after a downpour (especially for today’s weather-sealed cameras).
Sleek Where it Matters Most
Not all cameras are the same, so we’ve got two optimized mounting options, reducing bulk around the hand when possible.
For cameras that require a “traditional” flat mount, we use hardware developed by aerospace engineers, for cameras being sent to … you guessed it … space. And to tidy up the loose ends, we developed a streamlined installation method.
The barely-there lug mount version (shown here) comes with our proprietary Standard Split Rings, made from a steel and magnesium alloy that’s 25% stronger than stainless steel. It’s almost like holding a naked camera — but much more secure.

I’ve bought tons of straps in the past (sling straps from BlackRapid, neck straps from Artisan & Artist, wrist straps from Tap & Dye, etc.) but these straps beat them all. At first, I was a bit skeptical of buying yet ANOTHER strap but I’m glad I pulled the trigger. I currently own about six F1-style straps and highly recommend them — being comfortable and incredibly versatile, these are the only straps I’ll ever need!

The F1 is amazing for all applications but I love to use it when hiking. It tightens easily and I can quickly loosen it to swing the camera around and get the shot. I have yet to try it when riding my bike but I am sure that it will be just as great!

The F1 straps are simple and perfect for the ways in which I use my cameras. When I’m in town or on a walk, they’re light and secure, and stay out of the way. If I’m on a long day hike or climb, they stow away easily in my climbing pack (and I can easily attach the strap’s D-ring to my pack’s shoulder straps via a carabiner/sling for backup). And the strap feels every bit as comfortable if I have long tele zoom attached. All in all, the straps do what they need to without any fuss or extras.

I recently purchased a full frame mirrorless camera and will be taking it on some long hikes. I was looking for a lightweight, comfortable and easily adjustable strap.
I first ordered a strap from Peak Designs called the Slide Lite which seemed to check all of the boxes. Once I tried that strap out I was overwhelmed and underwhelmed at the same time.
I had already been exposed to the Simplr strap through the beauty of Instagram marketing algorithms, so I decided to look a little deeper.
I finally pulled the trigger on the F1 as I really wanted as minimal of a setup as possible and the hardware on the other strap really annoyed me.
Upon receiving the strap I was blown away. I use a ton of ultralight backpacking gear and sew a little myself, meaning I know the material used and looked over the construction methods. This strap is a gram counters dream strap, but this is also bombproof.
The adjustment aspect is perfect. The strap is absolutely what I was looking for. The only drawback with this strap is permanent nature of having no quick releases, but the thin material makes it easy to wrap a few times around your tripod on windy days to stop and negative effects it could cause.

I bought the strap for a new to me X-T1 and it has been great so far. Beautifully constructed. Understated, lightweight and simple. It just gets out of the way and does what a strap should.

I love the colors, I love being able to customize the length and I love the width and weight of the straps. I swap out both of my straps pretty often so I have my own method for doing that, but it would be great to have a quick release as well in an F2 strap!

Thoughtful, minimal design, top-notch craftsmanship, quick and to the point support. Fits X-T3 perfectly. Too bad the pull works only in one direction, but overall couldn’t have asked for more. Better than anything I saw in Tokyo, that’s saying a lot.

Glad you like your F1 AB! The adjustment tab will both lengthen and shorten the strap. Just keep one hand on your camera while pulling the tab up to shorten.

Shipping was fast to Switzerland and within a few minutes it was attached to my Nikon FM3A. Wearing it cross-body is super comfortable even for a tall person like me. I would have no hesitation in recommending this strap and will be back for more.
