Details

Stowed Safely, to Shooting Freely

Go from having your camera securely cinched up, for easy mobility — to slung low, for unhindered portrait and landscape shooting — just by pulling the F1’s adjustment tab.

Instead of tacking-on over-engineered hardware, it’s made from the same strong, flexible, lightweight fabric as the strap — plus a simple yet secure sliplok that won’t budge under load, no matter how heavy your camera.

One Strap That’s Up for Anything

To be clear, the F1 functions beautifully as a neck strap, but it’s much more versatile than that.

Quickly lengthen the F1 to use as a cross-body/sling strap, or loop the webbing through the D-rings to make a wrist strap — all without carrying (or remembering to carry) extra stuff.

We’ve heard tales of photographers literally tying their F1’s onto things, and attaching the D-rings or adjustment tab to carabiners for peace-of-mind. Use your imagination — F1 can take it!

Light, Strong & Built Tough in USA

A lot of camera straps are stuck in the past … unnecessarily bulky, made from traditional low-tech materials and metal hardware.

We take a different approach, using materials found in modern expedition gear, where strength-to-weight ratio is critical, and exposure to the elements is a given.

If you’re looking for a faux-heirloom made of leather and steel, you’ll have to look elsewhere — because we won’t make camera straps that rust, rot or crack after a downpour (especially for today’s weather-sealed cameras).

Sleek Where it Matters Most

Not all cameras are the same, so we’ve got two optimized mounting options, reducing bulk around the hand when possible.

For cameras that require a “traditional” flat mount, we use hardware developed by aerospace engineers, for cameras being sent to … you guessed it … space. And to tidy up the loose ends, we developed a streamlined installation method.

The barely-there lug mount version (shown here) comes with our proprietary Standard Split Rings, made from a steel and magnesium alloy that’s 25% stronger than stainless steel. It’s almost like holding a naked camera — but much more secure.

Wired: Fujifilm X-T5 Review

Wired magazine has posted a wonderfully thorough review of the Fujifilm X-T5, referring to it as “…the best camera the company has ever made.” Nestled within this article, reviewer Scott Gilbertson reveals his preferred camera strap: “I prefer minimal straps like the Simplr F1, but for something included with the camera, Fuji’s strap is actually […]

Flemming Bo Jensen: Live Music + Fujifilm X-T5

In this official Fujifilm video, Flemming Bo Jensen, concert photographer extraordinaire, discusses how the X-T5 helps him capture the spirit and excitement of live music — while photographing Copenhagen-based singer/producer Saveus. “A camera is a tool for me. It needs to function purely on muscle memory, and become invisible.” Flemming is a long-time Simplr product abuser […]

Bert Stephani: Fujifilm X-T5

In this video, Bert Stephani discusses his love of portraiture, and shares his thoughts on the new Fujifilm X-T5. Bert has numerous Simplr straps, but the one seen attached to his X-T5 is a castor gray F1. *It’s worth noting that our recommendation for an X-T5 would generally be a lug mount F1 — but Bert is tall […]

How-To

Convert Your F1 to a Wrist Strap

Quickly changing your F1 camera strap from a long sling-style strap to a traditional-length neck strap needs no explanation — but converting it to a wrist strap is less obvious. Watch this video to see how easy it is! Shorten the strap all the way. Loop it through the D-rings. There is no step 3. […]

Install a Lug Mount F1 Series Strap, or Split Rings

*If you’re just installing Simplr Split Rings, not an F1 camera strap, you can skip straight to 1:07 in this video. Mounting a camera strap with split rings is just like putting a key on a keychain — but instead of a key, it’s a camera. Situate your Lug Mount F1 or F1ultralight so the […]

Install a Flat Mount F1

The flat mount version of our F1 camera strap installs similarly to a “traditional” camera strap, with a significant difference — the sliplok and keeper are used only for installation, not to adjust the length of the camera strap. Situate your F1 so the adjustment tab is in front of your body when the camera strap […]

What a great strap the F1 is. It arrived quickly in a very unassuming package. Great quality and very comfortable to wear. The perfect compliment to my X100f. I don’t even know I’m wearing it and thanks to the design of the piece between the strap and the camera lugs, it does not ever get in the way while taking photos. Something that the clunky strap fasteners on my previous Peak Design strap did. It’s junk compared to the Simplr Strap. Exceptional.

And btw very strong as I got into a tugging match with someone who wanted to grab my camera while I was taking photos. I thought for sure it was going break. Nope.

Only gripe, I wish there was more colours.

If you’re looking for a lightweight and ultra-minimalist strap, there is no doubt that the F1 for you. I was a longtime user of Peak Design leash, but was always often frustrated with the clunkiness of the metal mechanisms that connect the strap to the camera; these were especially annoying when shoving my camera quickly into my bag, since the metal would often grind against the side of my camera. The F1 has proven to be an ideal replacement, since it is equally quick-adjusting, but has absolutely no added bulk. Highly Recommended!

Good stitching, color is great. Hardware is strong enough to hold my Fuji X-T2 with battery grip and largest of lens. Going to buy soon for my other cameras.

I absolutely love this camera strap! Perfect for my Fujifilm camera. Small. light, strong and it lays flat against my neck. Nothing fancy but it looks great doing the job it is supposed to do. You will never even know it is there. Feels great, works great, looks great. Perfect. Highest recommendation

The F1 is an awesome strap. I transitioned from a somewhat rigid leather strap on my Fuji X-E2, which I usually shoot with the lightweight 35 f2 lens. This strap has made quick street shots 10x easier, as you can wear the camera sling-style and pull the tab to lengthen it immediately. After shooting you can tighten it back up and it doesn’t swing all over the place. I’m really excited to try it out for concert photography soon where having your camera close to your body is important but so is versatility with quick shots. Really loving this product.

I Have F1 in green on my Fuji X-T20. Perfect size, strong and very well made! The pull tab to lengthen the strap is great, but when I shorten the strap to wear around my neck with the camera on my chest, it takes quite a reach around your neck to find and pull the tab!
I like the split rings but my 87 year old arthritic hands needed something to help mount them on the Fuji lugs. I finally got them installed using an old staple remover to pry the rings apart.

I purchased the lug mount F1 Sling strap, a black one, for my Fuji X-H1 and was very pleased when I received it. Perfectly sized and great quality materials. I have had so many straps for my cameras, even beautiful -and expensive- leather ones, but each of them was always at some point in my way while shooting and I hated that.

This one seems to have been carefully designed for a light, practical but still secure use and it is easy to switch from slinging strap to a neck one and even go all the way down to a wrist strap… Awesome! The smaller rings attached to the strap are not the most easy to fit on the camera but it is just about 10 painful minutes until enjoying the fact that you don’t need anymore additional pieces of plastic or leather to protect your camera body from eventual scratches. As announced on this website, you can indeed notice that the small rings have a stronger resistance from what you usually see with others; this should avoid any bad surprises for many years. That alone is also well worth the annoying 10 minutes to attach the strap to your body.

Really enjoying a lot this simple but very well though strap to my camera and will order another one, a red one this time, for my Fuji X-Pro2 too.

Good job guys, awesome product and not too expensive either which is another pleasant surprise.

    Cheers from Scotland
    A new happy customer 🙂
