Stowed Safely, to Shooting Freely
Go from having your camera securely cinched up, for easy mobility — to slung low, for unhindered portrait and landscape shooting — just by pulling the F1’s adjustment tab.
Instead of tacking-on over-engineered hardware, it’s made from the same strong, flexible, lightweight fabric as the strap — plus a simple yet secure sliplok that won’t budge under load, no matter how heavy your camera.
One Strap That’s Up for Anything
To be clear, the F1 functions beautifully as a neck strap, but it’s much more versatile than that.
Quickly lengthen the F1 to use as a cross-body/sling strap, or loop the webbing through the D-rings to make a wrist strap — all without carrying (or remembering to carry) extra stuff.
We’ve heard tales of photographers literally tying their F1’s onto things, and attaching the D-rings or adjustment tab to carabiners for peace-of-mind. Use your imagination — F1 can take it!
Light, Strong & Built Tough in USA
A lot of camera straps are stuck in the past … unnecessarily bulky, made from traditional low-tech materials and metal hardware.
We take a different approach, using materials found in modern expedition gear, where strength-to-weight ratio is critical, and exposure to the elements is a given.
If you’re looking for a faux-heirloom made of leather and steel, you’ll have to look elsewhere — because we won’t make camera straps that rust, rot or crack after a downpour (especially for today’s weather-sealed cameras).
Sleek Where it Matters Most
Not all cameras are the same, so we’ve got two optimized mounting options, reducing bulk around the hand when possible.
For cameras that require a “traditional” flat mount, we use hardware developed by aerospace engineers, for cameras being sent to … you guessed it … space. And to tidy up the loose ends, we developed a streamlined installation method.
The barely-there lug mount version (shown here) comes with our proprietary Standard Split Rings, made from a steel and magnesium alloy that’s 25% stronger than stainless steel. It’s almost like holding a naked camera — but much more secure.

Super light and easy to adjust, great design. That being said I am not currently using it for my x100v. Even though it can be configured to use as wrist strap it’s a bit loose and bulky for me. I prefer my dedicated wrist strap. But this does not mean I will not switch back at some point! And It’s great knowing that I have a super nice lightweight, easy to adjust strap at the ready for when I want to change things up.

I purchased this strap to fit on my Leica M monochrome and although shipping to the UK made it a little costly due to import fees I thought the design concept suited my needs. I have absolutely 100% faith with my new strap and would recommend this to anyone as your camera feels safe. This strap is strong in design and comfortable around the neck. 1st rate product

This strap is minimal, light, strong, and very functional. I can’t overstate how much I enjoy the connection point being so much smaller than my previous Peak Design straps (no hate towards PD, still love them). I’d love to see more available colors and maybe a version with a slightly more premium feeling strap material at some point.

So happy I took the plunge and ordered the Simplr F1 for my Fuji x100v. I contemplated between the F1 and F1ultralight for a while but decided on the F1 since I don’t consider the x100v to be an ultralight camera like it is touted to be. I actually don’t think you could go wrong with either. The F1 is already ultralight as far as I’m concerned and does not get in the way. Out of curiosity I might have to pick up the F1ultralight as well. Pricing is completely fair for such well designed and meticulously crafted strap that looks amazing on any camera.

Clever adjustment. A small protection (removable) on the back of the neck could be useful for heavier DSLRs.

Got the F1 strap for my Fujifilm X-T3. When I first got it, I thought there was a mistake… these straps are light, but with use, I’ve found them to be robust and really strong! Love the simplicity of it and love the multiple ways of using the strap from sling to wrist strap. Couldn’t ask for more.

As a sling it’s a swank upgrade from the freebie that came with my camera. Comfortable to wear, no scratchy metal hardware, easy to loosen/lengthen, if a bit annoying to tighten/shorten.
If you follow the Simplr instructions to convert to a wrist strap the loop is much too large to provide any security — it’ll slip right off your hand and dump the camera on the pavement. But if instead you cinch the strap about half way before feeding it back thru the D-rings, then the wrist loop is tight enough that it won’t slip off. It’s a bit clumsier than a dedicated wrist strap, but the convertible aspect is super handy.
I got the flat mount version so I can hook it up to a pair of Peak Design anchors.

Thanks for liking our stuff, Dirk! A couple points of feedback … One: The length of the strap and position of the adjustment tab have both been carefully considered. By adding Peak Design anchors onto your strap, you’ve lengthened the strap significantly, which means the adjustment tab is no longer in an optimal position. F1 is light and sleek enough that you’ll feel little need to remove it (we’ve heard this so many times from users), so try it without the anchors as it was designed! Two: Although the wrist-conversion isn’t intended to be tight around your wrist, it still sounds like you may be doing something wrong. Not a bad idea to re-watch the video here on the F1 page to make sure you’re doing it right.

Finally caved and gave this a try after getting ads on Instagram for a while. I’m glad I did – the provided rings are sturdy and lie flat against the camera body when you’re using the camera. The straps cover everything they need to, and protect the body from getting scuffed by the rings. Nice, thoughtful, minimalist design. The only problem I can see with this business model is that I’m never going to need another strap.

For a long time, I eschewed neck straps in favor of a simple neoprene wrist strap that allowed me to carry the camera in my hand but prevented it from falling if I were to lose my grip on it. Over the years, however, I got tired of having a heavy camera/lens combination in my hand all the time like this. I purchased an F1 for my rangefinders and fitted the ends of the strap with small gate hooks to allow it to be transferred from one camera to another easily (and I have the neoprene wrist straps with gate hooks as well for when I may still want to carry the camera that way). Simplr’s split rings are permanently on all of my rangefinders. Recently I purchased a new mirrorless camera with flat mounts, so I got a new F1 for that camera. Simplr straps are elegant but minimalist. I love the method Simplr devised for keeping the ends of the mounting straps neat. These straps don’t call attention to you or to your camera. They just do what they are supposed to do. Thanks to Simplr, I am now much more likely to have a camera with me when I am out and about. And when you have a camera with you, you get the opportunity to perhaps capture something amazing!

I have tried to find the simplest, most minimalist, most comfortable camera strap for years and this is the best one I ever owned. The feel is amazing, it’s incredibely lightweight and still feel strong. Being used to small leather or rope straps, I was worried I would find it too large but it’s also very slim and takes virtually no space in my bag. Having a camera with flat mount, I always found the other straps to be bulky and not great looking, but Simplr found the best, simplest way of connecting.
