Normally, you don’t hear lengthy descriptions about the seemingly mundane rings that attach your camera strap, but there’s a little bit of a story behind these, so here goes: When we started development on our F1 Series camera straps, we were shocked at how difficult it was to find strong, round, smooth split rings.
All of the US-made rings we tested were strong — but had jagged, angled ends. That’s because US split ring production is aimed at the fishing tackle industry, where angled ends make them easier to thread onto fishing line and lures … Not great for camera straps though.
Most of the imported rings we tested had nice smooth ends, but failed our strength tests miserably (yes — we test everything). Some of the “strong” imported split rings failed at under 20lbs (9.1kg) … Not good!
We weren’t content to settle for either, so we developed our own — and after many months of prototyping, we’re happy to report they tick all the boxes: strong, smooth, and made to the highest tolerances in USA.

Small (which is great! ;)) but very strong, good quality products with nice finish. It’d be great if there was a distributing partner in the EU.

Strong split rings. Gives you a secure feeling no matter what lenses you have on your camera

It really is shocking how smooth to the touch these are. I have the original heavy duty split rings and have used them with Peak Design anchor loops for over 2 years. There are still no signs of wear on the anchor loops. Easy enough to remove but very secure. A must buy in my opinion.

Looking for round split rings for my Fuji X-T2. Found these. Excellent quality (but wish I would have ordered the lug bumpers too).

I bought both regular and heavy-duty split rings. Great quality, but too small for even relatively narrow leather straps. The rings need 3/32″ to 1/8″ more inner diameter.

As described, our split rings are sized for 3/8″ wide webbing (the width of most camera straps). Even narrow leather straps are generally at least 1/2″. Also, if you click the “specs” tab, above, we have the exact measurements of every dimension — down the one-thousandth of an inch. You’re welcome to return them of course, but it’s always best to measure first.

I bought this to pair with my PEAK Design strap and it just works beautifully. The split ring is a bit stiff but that adds to the reassuring feeling when attached to the strap.

I purchased a set of the Simplr heavy duty split rings for my Fuji X-T3 to use in combination with Peak Design anchors. The rings shipped quickly, fit perfectly, and feel sturdy. Thanks!

I’m satisfied after changing the typical triangles to these rings. They move more smoothly than triangles and don’t get stuck in strange position. Good size too.

These rings did the trick for me. Like them much better than the typical triangle versions. What I’d also like to mention is the customer service. I contacted Simplr and asked a few questions about using these rings. The response was quick, friendly and helpful. Thanks!!

For my m series Leica, some rings were too big, some too small, this one just right.

Seem well made. Far stronger than the triangle clips that come with my Fuji cameras, so they didn’t go on as easily.

I wanted something different for my X-T3. Never a fan of the triangles. These were just what I was looking for. Classy looking and easy to use.

I replaced my triangular rings on my Fujifilm cameras with SIMPLR round rings. I couldn’t be happier with them.

Echoing what others have stated, these are in a completely different league than any other camera ring I have used. Thankfully no more straps wiggling off.

Great little rings! Just the right size, no rough edges, and they give a real feeling of being very secure on the camera. Yes, they are a bit difficult to get on. I open them a bit first with a thin-bladed knife, then open them a bit more with a small screwdriver to assist the process and to avoid scratching my lugs while installing.

Marginally tougher to install than some others I’ve used, but far and away the best split rings I’ve used.

I bought 8 split rings. Gobs better than the triangular versions for my cameras (Olympus EM-1 Mk2).

Very nice split rings. Super springy and seem very strong. I have them on 3 cameras: one with a regular camera strap, another with Peak Design anchors, and another with a Simplr strap that has the disconnectors. The rings work well with all of them. My new go to for replacing triangular rings.
